A total of 150 contestants from the representative teams organized by 14 cities and prefectures of the province participated in the competition to compete for hotel professional service skills.

On June 27-29, the 2022 Hunan Tourism Hotel Professional Skills Competition was held in Zhuzhou. A total of 150 contestants from the representative teams organized by 14 cities and prefectures of the province participated in the competition to compete for hotel professional service skills.
This vocational skill competition aims to promote the high-quality development of Hunan tourism hotel industry. Through holding skill competition activities, it shows the spirit of dedication, good professional quality and skilled business skills of Hunan hotel employees, and vigorously creates a good industry atmosphere of "respecting knowledge, talents and skills". The 150 contestants from 67 units participating in the competition are elite experts selected by all cities, prefectures and enterprises in the province through "theory test, skill comparison and strength competition".
The competition was jointly organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Hunan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Hunan Provincial Women's Federation, and hosted by the Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Television and Sports, and the Hunan Provincial Tourism Hotel Association.
The competition consists of five competition groups, namely, front room attendant (reception desk), room attendant (Chinese style bed making/turndown), restaurant attendant (Chinese style banquet table setting/theme table design), restaurant attendant (Western style table setting), and Chinese style cook (Chinese style cooking), which are mainly responsible for comprehensive evaluation of the contestants' appearance, post knowledge, foreign language proficiency, adaptability and on-site operation. In view of the weaknesses and weaknesses in the service quality of tourist hotels, the competition introduced a scenario simulation assessment link, set up a simulation scenario in the reception link, and asked the contestants to take questions on the spot.

On June 27, all the contestants had completed the theoretical examination. The closing ceremony and award ceremony were held on the morning of the 29th. The first, second and third prizes of the five competition groups, the first, second and third prizes of the group, the excellent organization award and the outstanding contribution award were determined.
After a fierce competition, Xintian International Hotel won the third prize of the group in the 2022 Hunan Tourism Hotel Professional Skills Competition, including the third prize of the individual competition Western food table setting project Wang Can, and the third prize of the Chinese cooking project Liu An.
Since its opening 13 years ago, Xiangtan Xintian International Hotel has always regarded service skills as the top priority of staff training and put service standards into daily practice.
